Buddha statues

There is quite a bit of confusion about the writing of the word Buddha, we also come across it as Buddha. However, Buddha is just Buddha in his English. This also applies to the way of life from which buddha originates, we know it as Buddhism and in English it is Buddhism.

It is nice to know that the word Buddha comes from the Pali language, where it includes the concepts of 'the awakened one' , 'the enlightened one' and 'the one with an all-encompassing insight'. One who may call himself Buddha has attained the highest state of enlightenment and is, as it were, 'awakened'.
