Yogiman Statues

The yogiman has different names, he is also called the Weaping Buddha or Orang Malu. The legend tells a story about a man who was so ashamed of all the misery that would be in the world that he, crying in a meditation sitting with his face in his hands, chose a life of meditation. Yet deep down he is happy because he has found peace and happiness within himself.

The statue is special, in the first instance you see a man bent over with his face in his hands. While if you look closely at the front you can see the smiling face of the yogiman, at the top you can see the shape of a human heart and on the sides you can see a fetus. It symbolizes modesty, strength, energy and new life.
